Racquets

No matter the season, BHYC's racquet enthusiasts can be found doing what they love. 

BHYC has a year-round outdoor racquets program. Tennis officially became part of the Yacht Club's offerings  in 1909 when four tennis courts were built on the marsh on the north side of the clubhouse. The courts were so popular that six more were added over the next two years. Additionally, the Club has four platform tennis courts that were added in the 1960's.

Tennis

BHYC offers ten Har-Tru tennis courts. The tennis season runs from April through October. Throughout the season, our staff of teaching professionals provide targeted adult and junior clinics, private lessons, tournaments and a variety of social events for all ages and skill levels. Men and women may also participate in practices and compete on teams in the NJ State League as well as interclub matches.

Platform Tennis

BHYC offers four lighted platform tennis courts available for year-round recreational and competitive play. Our official platform tennis season runs from October through March. We have an active adult and junior program featuring participation in the Men's  and Women's Shore League, the NJ Women's Platform Tennis League, tournaments, and an array of social events for all ages and skill levels.
